What to Look For in High Quality Motorcycle Boots?

Komodo Gear’s designers know that today's biker is looking for classic styling, high performance and unmatched quality--from their motorcycle boots and their bikes. So what should you look for when buying motorcycle boots?

First you want to look for the outer skin of the motorcycle boot constructed of pre curved premium leather. You want the boot to be anatomically correct making sure it has a fully protective calf area.  For all the high impact area’s you want to make sure that the motorcycle race boot has TPU covering the heel, shin, upper shin, ankle, calf and toes.

A well-constructed boot will also offer its rider replaceable toe sliders.  Make sure to look at the material specifications for anti-shock system for high impact absorption and abrasion.  This will give you the maximum protection needed for the possibility of a high speed crash.

Other qualities you want to look for are reflective surface on the rear of the boot for night time visibility and lightweight, non-slip oil resistant sole with good feedback from the rear sets.
